Crisis Line Volunteer & Trainer (2001 - 2006)
King County Crisis Clinic - Seattle, WA
I volunteer to answer the crisis phone lines and help to train new volunteers. To become a volunteer extensive training is required in subjects such as: Communication Skills; Dealing with Differences; Crisis Intervention; and Angry and Difficult Callers. I help with the Communications Skills and Mental Health trainings by working with new trainees on simulated calls.
